WHAT CAN WE DO:

  • Home Exterior: siding and trim.

  • Gutters: minor repair or replacement.

  • Air Sealing: caulking, weather stripping doors and windows.

  • Roof: minor repair or replacement.

  • Heating & Cooling: minor repair and/or servicing or replacement.

  • Plumbing & Electrical: minor repair or replacement.

  • Water Heater: repair or replacement.

  • Stairs & Stoops: repair or replacement.

  • ADA Accessibility: door widening, grab bar installation, wheelchair ramp, handrails for porch, deck.

  • Other possible essential repairs.

*Exterior paint will only be an option if it is in conjunction with other exterior repairs, cosmetic/aesthetic improvements do not qualify for this program.

REQUEST FOR A HOME REPAIR

We help people repair and maintain their homes, fulfilling the Habitat for Humanity mission to provide decent, affordable housing for low-income homeowners while improving neighborhoods and property values. Kindly refer to our eligibility list below to see if you qualify.

To request a home repair, please click the submit request link below. A Habitat for Humanity staff member will contact you within approximately 5 business days to discuss your Home Repair Request and details. For faster response, you may visit our office in Angels Camp 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday from 9AM to 4PM) or call us at 209-890-3848. Please note – mobile homes/manufactured homes residing in mobile home parks do not qualify for this program.

To be eligible for the Home Repair Program, applicants must:

  • Reside in Calaveras County.

  • Own and live in the home to be repaired.

  • Own the land the home sits on.

  • Meet income-eligible requirements.

  • Intend to live in the house for at least 3 years after the repair.

  • Verified employment, income, credit worthiness.

  • Undergo criminal and sexual offender background checks.
