Habitat Calaveras at the Fair

By Published On: May 30, 2024

The Calaveras County Fair is central to all activity in Calaveras for the month of May, and Habitat for Humanity Calaveras had the opportunity to join in the festivities. During the four days of fair, board, staff, volunteers and partners joined us at the Habitat Calaveras booth where we had the pleasure of meeting and reconnecting with many friends. Habitat Calaveras had a presence at the entrance of fair with a beautifully painted photo board with the theme of Gold Panning and Cattle Branding. The eye-catching frogs were designed and painted by our talented staff member, Miko Daniels. Special thanks to Senders Market for generously donating the materials for this project.

On Friday, we were joined by Darrin, Scott, and Shil from ZS2 Technologies, who shared insights on the innovative materials being used at Eureka Oaks. These materials are set to revolutionize our homes by enhancing energy efficiency and fire resistance.

We had engaging conversations with potential homeowners, volunteers, and donors about Habitat Calaveras and our mission. Even a previous Habitat Calaveras homeowner stopped by the booth, eager to give back by volunteering. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Board of Directors and staff who worked tirelessly to make our participation a success.
