Rolling the Dice for a Cause: Bunco Tournament Supports Habitat Calaveras
On April 23, Habitat for Humanity Calaveras hosted a lively Bunco Tournament at the Native Sons Hall in Murphys, bringing together friends, supporters, and community members for an afternoon of fun, fundraising, and impact.
The event was generously sponsored by Aspen Street Architects, whose support helped make the afternoon a success. Additional donations were made by Bee Essentials, Crafty Chicks, Greenhorn Creek, Mingo’s on Main, Pickled Porch, Sour Grass Clothing, and Indian Rock Vineyards. Guests enjoyed fast-paced rounds of Bunco, raffles, and refreshments — all in the name of affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization in Calaveras County.
During the event, Executive Director Morgan Gace and Resource Development Manager Emily Dondero shared inspiring updates on Habitat’s work, including the progress of the Eureka Oaks development, the Critical Home Repair Program, and other efforts to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
This event not only raised critical funds to support Habitat’s mission, but also helped grow awareness of the many ways individuals and businesses can get involved — whether through donating, volunteering, or spreading the word.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, played, donated, or sponsored. With your help, we’re rolling forward toward a future where everyone in Calaveras County has a safe, decent place to call home.
