Eureka Oaks Moves Forward: Infrastructure Underway

Habitat for Humanity Calaveras is excited to share a major milestone in the progress of our largest development to date — Eureka Oaks in Angels Camp. Though we officially broke ground in September 2024, we strategically delayed major construction until the winter season subsided to help control costs and ensure safer working conditions. Now that spring has arrived, significant progress is underway.
Crews are actively completing infrastructure work, including major excavation and grading that has transformed the site’s elevation. These foundational improvements are essential to prepare the land for homes, utilities, and future community spaces. We anticipate infrastructure will be completed by the end of summer 2025, paving the way for vertical construction to begin in earnest. Our timeline remains on track, with the first homes expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
“Our vision for Eureka Oaks is becoming real. It’s no longer just lines on a map — the land is changing shape, and Habitat partner families are one step closer to having a safe, affordable home to call their own,” said Morgan Gace, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Calaveras.
As we move forward, we’ve also begun initial outreach to individuals on our Eureka Oaks Interest List. Those who have signed up will now be invited to complete an Intake Form, the first step in determining eligibility for homeownership.
This is a thrilling and long-awaited chapter for Habitat Calaveras and the community we serve. Thank you to all of our supporters, partners, and volunteers who are helping us build homes — and hope — in Calaveras County.
